K-beauty is a term to generalise all beauty products from South Korea. You may have heard about the 10 step Korean skincare regime or brands like Laneige and COSRX that have become very mainstream. But what exactly makes K-beauty different? Let's dig a little deeper.

Korean skincare tips and techniques have been handed down from generation to generation and is part of their culture. They believe that great skin isn't something that happens instantly, it's something that you work on consistently over a long period of time. Children are taught proper skincare regimes and techniques (hello sunscreen!) from a young age so they continue this for the rest of their lives. The aspiration is for glowy, plump, dewy skin which is known as 'chok chok' skin. The focus here is on hydration!

But why should you choose K-beauty over other products? Korean skincare is the leader of innovation. Have you heard of weird ingredients like snail mucin or bee venom? Koreans have done a lot of research into what is effective for the skin and have found the most effective yet affordable ingredients to create some of the best skincare in the world.
